Surrey Schools Young Carer Awareness Training
Our expert staff run free training sessions, online, for anyone working in a Surrey school who’d like to know more about supporting young carers.
This session runs for one hour, and covers:
- young carers’ lives and challenges, including their strength and resilience
- identification in school – and why early identification is crucial
- best practice in support
- our Angel Award framework for schools
- support for schools, and young carers, from Action for Carers

Angel Award: If you are working towards our Angel Award, completion of this training by a staff group will meet standard no. 4 of the 8 requirements.
